Thank you so much WOMAD for having us, this was our favourite ever gig and it was amazing to be on the same line up as so many great musicains.  DJ Yoda once again wielded his supreme skills on the decks to get the crowd boogying like nutters, and we came and splatted a healthy dollop of brass over the top. The show even picked up a great review in the WOMAD coverage from The Times! Thank you Yoda, thank you Womad and to everybody who came to see us.

Being on later in the evening we even got a chance to explore the site a bit and see some of the excellent Earth, Wind and Fire set on the main stage featuring some original members of the band – the best brass section you could hope to hear! This time we were in the big top, and very much being a home crowd for DJ Yoda, the tent was packed out with an absolutely top crowd who were very much up for it. Great show, great fun, and a lovely atmosphere in an extremely beautiful part of the world – thanks for having us Camp Bestival!!

It’s official! Womad have announced the presence of the world’s finest collaboration between a Hip-hop DJ and a Balkan Brass Band at this year’s Festival in Charlton Park, Wiltshire on Sunday 29th July. We’ll be playing at 5.30pm Big Red Tent. WOMAD have created a lovely artist page for us here.

A track from our album ‘The Tractor Makers’ Ball’ can be heard on the soundtrack of ventriloquist Nina Conti’s documentary award-winning film ‘A Ventriloquist’s Story: Her Master’s Voice’, recently screened on BBC4. The film is also doing the rounds on the festival circuit, picking up the audience award at the 2012 SXSW Film Festival.

After many a month of international techno-faff, we are very pleased to release our first short film. Featuring cosmonauts, hoola-dancers, space ships and fire-breathing maniacs we reveal what really happened to lost Soviet cosmonauts P. Kelsko and T. Rodski.

The fireworks were spectacular, it was a lovely athomsphere and we finished the evening off in style when a few of us joined Gabby and co on the main stage to play her arrangement of Sing Sing Sing. All in all we couldn’t have asked for a better way to finish 2011.
